It depends on the school. They should tell you whether or not to send transcripts. San Francisco State and Cal State Fullerton made decisions without transcripts. Sacramento waited for my transcripts. And Long Beach makes cuts-- they go off of the information you report, decide if you’re qualified, and if you are, they ask for your transcripts for the “final round” of consideration. I’m not really sure how San Diego will operate, so if I were you, I would either login to the applicant portal or call the admissions office to make sure you’re not missing any documents.

Just got into SDSU too. I was actually pretty surprised since I’m out of state.

I applied to SDSU as a backup but I don’t know if I’ll get in due to the fact that I did not take a Speech/ Oral English class since I wasn’t planning on applying to any CSUs. And since most SDSU applicants have been notified its not looking so good. Im still sitting on a UCSB TAG so…

@ILoveLA I applied as a political science major to all of my schools.

@Gaucho You won’t get into SDSU without having completed oral communication by the spring. Oral communication is one of the “golden four,” absolutely essential classes for them. Weird, I know, because UCs don’t even require that class.

@ILoveLA Oh and yeah, CSULB has received all my transcripts.

I myself didn’t apply to any UCs, but regarding CSUs, I got into my top choice, Fullerton, this morning. I found out via Titan Online. They don’t send you an e-mail, oddly enough. For those wondering, I’m an in-state, local student from a CCC. My major is history.

Just thought I’d post that for those wondering when CSUF would release their decisions. It looks like they’re slowly trickling out.

Good luck to everyone here, regardless of whether you attend a UC or CSU!

Pretty bummed I didn’t get into SLO. Hope that isn’t a sign for the UC decisions.
Got into SJSU and waitin on SDSU.

sadfish,

like I have already said to others: Cal poly SLO is not an easy school to get in. It only has a 13% admit rate for transfers, so don’t feel bad. It’s definitely NOT a backup school. Best of luck!

All the best,

@nerdasaurus Congrats on Fullerton! If I don’t get into UCI maybe I’ll see you there next year (I’m a poli-sci major. :]).

@melaniedear: Thank you, doll! It’s wonderful knowing I can relax after this awful wait! It was worth it. Haha!

Do people think that just because Cal Poly SLO is part of the CSU system that it’s somehow sub-par or easy to get into? Good god. I applied to berkeley, but I honestly didn’t even bother with cal poly SLO… if that’s any indication. Do your research, kids. :-)

@nerdasaurus Just out of curiosity, what other schools did you apply to?

@melaniedear: I applied to CSULB, CSU San Marcos, and SDSU. I didn’t get into CSULB, but I’m still waiting for the other two. It’s good that since I’m going to CSUF that I don’t need to worry if they accept me or not.

@sadfish: I wouldn’t worry about your denial to SLO. CSUs tend to give priority to local students and it’s really tough and even more competitive to get into. Don’t worry, you will get into a UC!

@ raymondloi regarding “when did everyone that got into sdsu get accepted?”

Probably should have mentioned I applied for Spring 2011 and not Fall. That is why I’d already heard (I’m attending now).
