I am very confused with the application process. It says the writing sample must be 10 pages of your work, but must this be one work, or several works? I don’t think I’ve ever written anything that is 10 pages long. If anyone has gotten in, would you mind messaging me your essay that got you in? Just so I can see what they’re looking for? Thanks so much!
Here is the first sentence of their instructions: “A creative writing sample. The sample should consist of approximately ten pages of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction/essay, or any combination of the three.” I call your attention to the latter part of the sentence, where it specifies “any combination of the three”. If this is not clear to you, perhaps you should look into a different program.
Please don’t ask people to send you their admissions essays. How do they know you, a random person on the internet, aren’t planning to cheat off of them?
The instructions go on to say “the sample may consist of… several very short stories/pieces”.
I am sorry if the request offended you, I guess I was in a little over my head haha. I was just looking for guidance, sorry again.
jesus christ mathyone lol
@tomatox1, if you look on the college essays forum, it is topped with numerous warnings about the danger of plagiarism if you post your essays or send them to anyone other than longstanding trusted posters. There are no warnings on this forum, and I thought, given the clarity of the instructions, the OP’s request for successful writing samples to be sent to them (because the instructions were just too hard to understand) sounded fishy.
