Has anyone been accepted for Nursing yet?

Hello, I applied back in Sep and I see that many have already received acceptance letters. I’m not sure if applications for nursing majors are typically delayed or not. Has anyone been accepted this year for nursing majors? Thanks

Some (not many) acceptances from some majors to applicants with high stats, who are receiving merit scholarships, have gone out. Clemson mails applications for most students February 15th.

My son applied to the nursing program but did so in November so we are not expecting to hear back anytime soon. Will let you know when we do though! He has heard from two other places and has gotten in but Clemson is by far the more competitive of the places he has applied to. Good luck.

@Momtofourkids would you mind sharing some of his stats and where he applied that he got in?

We received an acceptance to Nursing in November - applied in September. 31 ACT, top 10% of graduating class. Also received merit aid - very happy/proud

@Momtofourkids Acceptances are not tied to when you apply. Most hear the week of Feb 15th. Some higher merit students hear in November and December.

Daughter received her nursing acceptance today. $6000 scholarship. Instate .Top 5% in her class. 4.8 weighted gpa with a 30 ACT. Good luck all!

@brokemomofdd Did she find out from email or snail mail?

The waiting, especially when you see others getting their acceptance, is a killer - So nerve wracking!!!
Good Luck to all -Go Tigers!!!

My D was accepted to Pitt, also & deferred BC

My daughter was accepted but we are concerned about the Greenville option. Does anyone know more about this and how easy it is to select to stay at Clemson for the 4 years? How far is Greenville from Clemson? Wished they had an accepted students day!

@FanOfFootball that’s great! Congrats to your D!
Do u mind sharing her stats and is she instate?
Snail mail acceptance I assume?

@FanOfFootball Greenville is about 30-40 minutes from Clemson. .

@FanOfFootball , my d is a junior nursing student at Clemson . I don’t have the answers re your Greenville question because my d s cohort is the last group that is at Clemson all 4 years as the change was made right after she started . However , I do know for the past 3 years they actually have had a special day for the admitted nursing students where they will go over everything related to the nursing dept . I feel like it might be in March ? I’m pretty sure you will receive an email after Feb 15 or so ( after everyone has been admitted ) so keep your eyes out for that .It may have come via snail mail too .

@FanOfFootball for what it’s worth Greenville is a great town. Lots of really good restaurants etc.

^ agree!! We love Greenville! Greenville Health is also very impressive. I don’t think it would be a bad thing at all to be part of the nursing group that has to study there . My d will do clinical there as well …im just not sure of the details for the incoming nursing students. I believe it is all a positive for the program and will likely benefit those students coming in .

Odd question but if they are traveling back and forth to Greenville for Junior and Senior year is there a Clemson meal plan that is worked out with various restaurants or Greenville Health Cafe? or are the students on their own expense wise? Obviously they can eat before and after on campus but I imagine they will need to eat in Greenville from time to time depending on class schedule.
