Has anyone been accepted/rejected to CS in state ?

I was accepted end of January for CS
CSU GPA 3.73
ACT 31
In-state and local service area
Asked to apply for Honors college. Already decided to attend SDSU instead.

I was waitlisted for CS and i’m in-state AND local.
CSU UW GPA 3.8
SAT 1690 out of 2400
Applied and accepted in the Honors college

What surprised me is that I have a friend that has either the same or higher GPA but has a SAT score of 2010 and he got waitlisted for CS as well…
Sometimes college admissions just do not make anysense :l
