Has anyone been accepted/rejected?

My son (OOS) applied in December - we haven't heard anything other than that the application is complete.

What do people think of CSMB? He's been accepted at Evergreen and is leaning toward that.

I was given conditional acceptance, along with about 10 of my friends, back in November. You may want to call them and make sure they processed it! I have received about 50 emails from them since then, too.

I, personally, did not care for CSUMB. However, a lot of people like it. It really depends on what your son is looking for. the school is small, and all of the dorms are clustered in one small area. There isn't anything bad about it, I am just looking for a larger school. The area is beautiful, and a car is needed to get around to any of the towns off campus. Their new library is AMAZING! If you can visit, you should.

So ya, if he likes small, this is the school for him. If not, he should look elsewhere. Other than that, it was a nice area and the dorms are cool. =)

Thanks for the response. We did visit last fall and liked it. We checked his status last night on the website - said his application was being evaluated. Where would you like to go? S was rejected from SFSU, where he really wanted to go.

klh I would call and talk to Dana in admissions. She is great! I will be visiting with D in April thinking it has changed quite a bit since we were there almost two years ago

"Where would you like to go?"--Klh
I'm guessing that that was directed towards me...

I am going to go to either Ithaca College, NYU, Pepperdine or University of Missouri. Most likely it will be Mizzou unless I receive a full ride to Ithaca. Good luck to your son!! And if SFSU is still his dream, there is always the option of transfering.

And I highly recommend calling the school. It's weird that they haven't contacted you yet.

Thanks, historymom, we will give Dana a call. How would you say it has changed in the last two years?

New library, fewer old cruddy buildings at the entrance, better landscaping and after this year I believe more students who have higher test scores and GPAs from high school. However, it now looks like we wont be coming down. D was given a FA package at another school which is too good to pass up. :)

Congratulations to your D! We've called Dana, had to leave a message, and e-mailed, but no response on S's status yet.

after waiting for 8 months, S finally got an acceptance e-mail. If he’d heard sooner, he might have considered attending, but he’s committed to another school now.

what was your son’s gpa and sat score?
