If you have, where are you from (state wise and region if you're in CA), when did you apply, and what was your SAT and/or ACT score?

… hello? anyone?

I haven’t received anything yet… Sam message I get when I check my status… What about you?

Acceptance letter last night from CSULB. I am from Chino CA total SAT was 1750. Applied early.

My friend received her acceptance yesterday as well. She applied a week before deadline (I think). Her GPA is a ~3.75W and a SAT of 1590.

I’m from CA and I applied like 3 weeks earlier but I haven’t received anything yet. What major did you put down on your application?

Most people in the Long Beach and LA county have been accepted IDK about other areas, maybe next week but they can go all the way til late march

A bunch of my friends got their acceptance letter.

was it through snail mail or your student account?

I got it in my email last night…
From Whittier, on the border between La and Orange counties, had a 3.82 and 1940.

Ok thanks :)

Hey! I ,too, applied for CSULB for the fall of 2012. I am a high school senior waiting for admission. I’m so scared because I heard that people have just begun to receive their acceptance letters via their emails and I’m wondering if I’ll soon be one of the accepted students.
I applied to all California State Schools:
CSULB (pending and my first choice)
SDSU (pending)
CSUF (already accepted)
SFSU (accepted)
CSUN (pending)
CSULA (pending and last choice)

I know that CSULB has around 32% acceptance rate and is heavily impacted but I need to remain fairly optimistic. I am not in the service area but I live in southern California about an hour or more away from the city of long beach. I have an overall 3.59 g.p.a, I received a 1460 on my SAT, 22 on ACT and will be majoring in Anthropology. My first semester of senior year I received a 4.0 so I hope they ask me for 7th semester transcripts.
Does anyone believe I have a strong chance of getting accepted? Please help?

Damn. Maybe I didn’t get in! I’m from NorCal… It looks like most of you guys are from SoCal… Any NorCal people received anything yet? Especially for transfers! I’m trying to transfer to CSULB. When I check at the admission status, it says that they have completed an initial review and that applicants will be notified this month if moved to the next round of consideration.

or did anyone get a rejection letter?

I applied about 5 days before the deadline, have a 3.4 gpa and got a 1710 on the SAT. I haven’t received anything yet. But my friend who also lives in the bay area california has received his acceptance letter. Im not sure how I’m standing after looking at all you other guy’s qualifications.

Okay, so I asked one of my friends, who was recently accepted into CSULB on Saturday, what her overall g.p.a was and she told me that she has a 3.7. My other friend was rejected via email about a week ago and her g.p.a is below a 2.7.
I have a 3.59 so I don’t really know my odds of getting accepted.
I know that I am from Southern California and though Southern Californians and other schools closer to Long Beach have first priority into CSULB, I do not where that leaves me. I’m so anxious.
I am hoping that I get accepted soon… ahhhh! I think people from Northern California have a good chance too but need a higher g.p.a for a competitive reasoning against the Long Beach locals who don’t need that high of a g.p.a.
Good luck to all of you!

I am also from southern California, but not in the local area around Long Beach. I was accepted on the 10th by receving an email. My sat score is 1780 and my gpa is 3.9 weighted. My friend that lives in the same town as me also got accepted through an email on the same date.

Ktkodi: Does your friend also have the same g.p.a as you? I heard from this random guy that they’re accepting each g.p.a at a certain rate. If they’ve already accepted 4.0- 3.7 do you think 3.6 and below will be next?

Yeah her GPA is similar to mine. I am not sure what they do but people got accepted last year with similar GPAs as you so hopefully you’ll hear back soon! My unweighted gpa is a 3.6 if that helps any. Good luck on getting in!

Ktkodi: Thank you so much!!!

Anyone else hear any good news recently about their admissions into CSULB??? I’d love to know if you were accepted and with what high school g.p.a and SAT scores.
