TracyW52, what is your major?
I am still waiting. My major is nutrition.

@orangeapple76 Oh okay, thanks! All this waiting has made me anxious and I just want to click the SIR button to get the process going >_<

Symartinez90,

Yep, I felt the same way. I couldn’t wait to accept asap…as if the admission would be declined or something. wahahaha
Now that everything is taken care of all that’s left is the anxiety of the anticipation…I even posted a countdown…118 days left… XD
Not much to do 'til then…except orientation and the tour…
Have you visited the campus yet?

i just checked my status and im on the wait list
any other transfers out there that are on the wait list too

@adfugal My major is Broadcast Journalism

@orangeapple76: Ahh I know!! I’m really excited to get the semester started. Are you planning to live on-campus or commute?

I haven’t had the chance to visit it yet (my school and work schedule is crazy) but I’ve been on the “virtual” tour. From what I have seen and heard its a beautiful campus, can’t wait to see it for myself, though.

Has anyone been accepted into the msme program or any masters in engineering? I’m still waiting…

OMG I got admitted on the freaking last minute? And I can’t activate mycsulb account, I guess I have to wait! What a complete turnaround!

@ KayBee90, dude, if you really want to go to CSULB then go for the other major but once they let you in, switch!

Extrema: you should be able to activate it a day after you’ve been admitted

Symartinez,

I’m gonna commute
(._.)
i know it’s not as exciting,
but I still hope to have a good time there…

I didn’t even know there was a virtual tour…
I have seen pictures of the japanese garden, tho…
apparently that’s the most scenic place…
What’s your major anyway?
Just a guess–but is your name sylvia, btw?

since im waitlisted for here, csupomona and ucsd, shoud i just give up all hope and start looking into CC or? i just dont know when i should start caring about the cc stuff due to deadlines and whatnot

@orangeapple76

I’m a Psych major. No, my name is Stephanie. What about you?

i got waitlisted for mech engineering w/ a 3.1 transfer gpa and all classes on assist completed. Anyone know the likelihood of actually getting in off the waitlist? i know for schools like cal poly getting waitlisted is pretty much a rejection.

OMG, today is May 1st and I still have no answer.

adfugal, you need to call them, they might still be giving out application decisions till the end of this week. Good luck!

hi guys! i’m new to the thread. i just got waitlisted for business undergrad. i applied with a 4.0 gpa and have all the requirements done. do you guys know what the process is? do i just wait it out?

Waitlisted with a 4.0? o.O That’s not right…

yeah, i thought for sure i would get in. i also went to a fashion school before and graduated with a 3.7 gpa. i got an email from csulb on 4/5 stating that i didn’t turn in all my transcripts. i called the school and they told me it was a mistake so i’m assuming they processed my application late? idk. anyways, i just rcved an email from them.

Thank you for applying to California State University, Long Beach. Your application for admission has been carefully
reviewed, and I am sorry to inform you that we are not able to offer you admission at the present time. However, your
academic background and potential for success at CSULB have earned you a place on our Wait List. This is significant, as
you could still be offered admission should a spot in our Fall 2012 class become available.
Due to the ongoing California budget crisis, the state has not provided us with sufficient resources to finance quality
educational experiences for all students. Without sufficient state funding, we are unable to accommodate all qualified
applicants.
If you would like to remain on our Wait List, you must notify us no later than June 1, 2012. If we do not hear from you by
June 1st, we will assume you are no longer interested in being considered for admission. Please send your decision via email
to: es-tradm@csulb.edu with:
• Your name
• Your Campus ID Number found at the top of this letter
• Your decision to remain on the waitlist: yes or no
• If you are requesting to remain on the waitlist, please indicate whether or not you would be interested in campus
housing: yes or no
If you decide to remain on our Wait List, you can expect to hear your final admission result by late June. Please remember that
admission is not guaranteed so continue to pursue a backup plan.
In early June we will determine if space is available in our Fall 2012 class. If spaces remain unfilled, we will reconsider all
students who have notified us of their intent to remain on the waitlist. If students are offered admission at that time, we will
promptly notify them of their financial aid eligibility and the availability of housing prior to requiring them to make a
commitment to attending in the Fall.
I appreciate your continued interest in California State University, Long Beach, and I wish you every success in the future.
