I'm an impatient transfer student whom goes to school at COC (located in Valencia). Thanks guys!

i was accepted in mid-January but I applied as a freshman and I am in their local admission area. Good luck! Hope you hear soon

To OP, did you send your preliminary transcripts yet?

I havn’t heard back either yet.

Still waiting… admissions said another 4-6 weeks

4-6 weeks is a really long time…

Yea, it usually takes a while to get your acceptance letter. Last year I didn’t get anything until the beginning of June.

I’m in the same boat as everyone else. I still haven’t anything from CSUN. I sent my official preliminary transcripts two weeks ago and nothing has changed on my csun portal. I’m hoping to hear something soon!

@smurray09 I read all your thread posts from last year I was wondering, are you local to Northridge? I am located an hour an half away from Northridge so I’m wondering if that’s why they have taken so long to get back to me.

Hey guys. I just got an e-mail from CSUN today at 10:00AM (5/13) saying I got accepted.

Good luck everyone!

@Jsdnnl where are you located? I live about an hour and a half away, in the San Bernardino area. I still haven’t heard anything back from CSUN…but then again they barely received my transcript with my “in progress” last week and they said it could take up to 9-12 weeks before I hear back.

I live in North Long Beach which is about an hour away. They received my transcript on March 8th (9 weeks and 3 days ago) so the last part may be highly true.

I missed the Placement Test Deadline for the ELM (Entry Level Math) placement test because there was a family emergency and I couldn’t make it to the test. Do you guys know if I can fix this? I called and they said that the deadline already passed and the only thing I could do was to apply again.

It says I am not eligible because I missed the deadline for EOP. Good grief that thing scared me for a second I thought I got rejected from Northridge. It says I will get my notification soon. Hopefully soon enough as I live in the Pomona area and they got my transcript in early March.

Im afraid Ive got some good news! I have been admitted to Cal State Northridge! Now waiting on Cal State San Bernardino…

^Congrats! I still have not heard from CSUN yet and I live about 5 mins away, go figure.

I haven’t heard back from CSUN either…may I ask when they received your preliminary transcript Webb26? CSUN admissions and records told me it can take anywhere from 9-12 weeks to actually process your transcript and I believe jsdnnl said it took them 9 weeks until they heard an answer.

@Bearskin I guess you could consider me local, lol. I used to live in the Lancaster/Palmdale area which is exactly an hour away. There’s a pdf somewhere online that says which areas in California are considered “in-area” and which aren’t, if I can find it I’ll post it on here so you can see if you’re considered local or not.

If I’m remembering correctly all of California is considered local for CSUN…

Ahhhhh I see. @smurray09 do you know how long it took for them to accept you after they received your preliminary transcript? My spring semester just ended two weeks ago and in two days my grades will be posted so I can send them my final transcript. Maybe that will get things moving along faster…wishful thinking… lol

Well I had some complications with mine so it took longer for me. I know some people got accepted in August of last year a couple weeks before school started. Is CSUN the only school you’ve applied to?

BTW: Here’s that PDF I was telling you about. Looks like the “State of California” is considered local for Northridge, meaning anyone transferring from a California Community College is local. http://www.calstate.edu/sas/onestopkiosk/documents/CSULocalAdmission-ServiceAreas.pdf
