I heard somewhere that merit scholarship contenders would be contacted for an interview. Has anyone heard anything beyond the basic "this is how to check the status of your application"?

Are you talking about a specific merit scholarship? The more generic merit scholarships are awarded without interviews...that would be the Dean's Scholarships that I am talking about...

There are a limited number of full tuition scholarships where you would be contacted for an interview, for instance, the Ralph Bunche Scholarship, the Carl S. Ell Scholarship and the Reggie Lewis Scholarship. You need to be in the top 1 or 2 percent of accepted applicants to qualify for these.

I don't believe they are doing interviews this year for the full tuition scholarships that you mention scansmom. Notifications for these are supposed to be sent out in Mid March
