Has anyone been in this type of situation ?

OK.. so here's the deal, I would appreciate all/any input and advice.

After high school, I attended the University at Buffalo as a Business major.
After 2 years, I realized I can no longer study and pursue my goals at this University.

My grades and stats were the following:
I had resigned 3 classes.. 2 of which were math which is not my strong point and the remaining class was a Photography class that I resigned cause I had no time for it.

My GPA right now is at a 2.3-2.4 with around 54 credits.

fast foward to Spring semester of my sophomore year, I applied to Baruch, Rutgers, & BMCC (Manhattan community college). I got rejected from all except BMCC.

I'm now planning to attend BMCC for 1 semester this coming Fall and transfer out to Baruch or Rutgers after just 1 semester. It is a huge downgrade, but I'm doing this by choice because I'm depressed in buffalo.

Has anyone ever been in a similar situation ? I know i have to work my ass off this coming semester but am I being realistic to transfer out after 1 semester ? and how will this affect my admissions because I am downgrading and planning to transfer out again.

all help is appreciated, thanks !

Because your GPA is so low at Buffalo you may have difficulty after only one semester. You also have the trouble that many colleges will only allow you to transfer 50-60 credits, so you are going to waste some serious money doing this if the school you end up finishing your degree at has a similar restriction.
