I got off the waiting list on the day of the AP Physics B exam :-P

Regarding anyone receiving admissions material...My D received the admissions packet last week, a few days after being told she was offered a wait list spot.

I have also been waitlisted at u chicago. if i haven't heard anything by now, does that mean i have no chance? and does anyone know when will everyone find out if they been pulled off the waitlist or not?

you find out as soon as a spot is open. Think of the chain like this: after they know how many spots need waitlist people to be filled, they send out a few waitlist letters (few days). The people who get them think about it (few more days) either accept them or they end up rejecting them for whatever reason and mail the form back (few days transit). The admissions office gets it back and then has to repeat the whole process again.

It takes time to make it through the waitlist. I have a friend on several waitlists for oboe preformance (he will probobly just stick with the one that accepted him though) and he could essentially be hearing as late as august if he is at the bottom of the list and they dont fill the class.
