what do u think the reason was? GPA? SAT? late applicant? transfer out of state?
from my understanding, it seems cuny prioritize highschoolers + cunny transfers first, if your out of state or transfer from another non cuny school you will be delayed or experience more difficulty.
I’m a prospective CUNY transfer (from a CUNY community college) and I haven’t heard anything yet from Hunter (no emails… even if I did email the admissions). If they rejected people, I’m certainly not aware.
I’m not really sure how CUNY prioritizes people, but I would be not surprised if that was the case. The UC system in California does something similar and prioritizes their in-state people first (I think that’s generally true for state schools). In any case they’re probably still reviewing apps, well into April. I think rejections would come later.
to me a delayed response of April is equivalent of rejection. Because if you were approved late youd more than likely not able to register any of the class and reapply for the next semester. they will inform you if you were rejected. a cuny email responded with some time the college will put the applicant aside and revisit later.
i recall Baruch had 20k applicant in 2017. and 30% acceptance rate
