Has anyone else not heard? I applied to their pre-Law program, and I still havnt heard a word from them. Isn't that weird? I assume this means I am rejected, just on the basis that most schools send up their acceptence letters, and then their rejection ones...sigh.

my friend still hasn't heard. but some people have already gotten rejection letters, so there's not way for sure to know whether you've been accepted or not.

i haven't heard. however, it may have something to do with the fact that I had to send my transcripts in 3 seperate times. Hopefully soon though!

Syracuse is sending out its letters in batches. The batches include both acceptances and rejections so if you have not heard yet, that does not mean you are rejected. My daughter received her acceptance in the second batch on Monday of this week. There were acceptances and rejections reported on CC in the first batch. So don't read too much into not having heard yet.

My son has not heard. They misplaced his transcript and it took several phone calls to find it. During his last call, they told him they were sending out letters next week. So he waits...

Hey they misplaced on my 4 transcripts as well, but they called my High School GC, and she read them my grades over the phone. I wonder what that means

is it common practice for them to contact the guidance counselor if your file is incomplete? They misplaced my transcripts several times.

i still have not heard also

I still have not heard I think because they kept saying they didnt have my transcript. Im pretty sure all the other kids from my school who applied got in and a lot of them have lower stats than I do...

weird. they lost my friend's transcript too.

My DD's transcript was also misplaced and we had to send another one. It seems very strange that so many transcripts were lost. I am considering of writing a letter to ask why this happened (I am an alumnus).

I had to send my D's transcripts twice and 1st semester grades twice. Luckily, I noticed the problem early and emailed (I actually got email responses from Admissions!) My D was accepted 2 weeks ago. MSMDAD, as an alumnus, I think it would be a good idea to question it. They should be accountable!

How did you know that the transcripts were missing? Is there a website where you can see this?

Here's the link. You have to know your Orange Access code (it was on the admissions status letter you should have received when you first applied):

http://admissions.syr.edu/rf/mm/mmug.cfm

Great so they lost my transcript and i'm guessing because of that I got waitlisted. Actually, I'm sure of this because everyone else at my school get in, many of whom had much lower stats than mine. It's funny because I regretted applying there anyway, its way too cold for me...

SpringfieldMom, I am going to write to the SU Chancellor and ask for an explanation. I have the impression that the lost transcript resulted in late consideration for scholarships for my DD and this is unacceptable. I'll PM you when I receive a response.

But I thought your daughter already recieved the Founder's Scholarship?

Yes, jouraynalism, she did. But there were others that were given out earlier that I believe that she would have qualified for if her file would have been complete (I don't want to sound pretentious!).

does anyone know when the next batch of decisions will be released??? Like I said before my transcript kept getting lost and my file was finally completed about two weeks ago...does anyone have an idea of how long it will take before I get my decision?

This is quite frustrating especially since Syracuse's website says that decisions will be released Mid-March.
