Has anyone even heard of Wentworth Institute of Technology? [international applicant]

So I keep getting emails from WIT (among others like RPI, Babson, Seton Hall) saying that if I apply by January 15, I get an application fee waiver AND consideration for scholarships.

A quick google and CC search reveals that it is ABET accredited but not even remotely prestigious.

I’m an international applicant and I cannot attend without aid. And I know that the answer is most probably No, but **should I bother applying/b? More specifically, does anyone know if internationals get good merit aid here? I don’t expect that, since there is so little information.

My stats (I’ll be majoring in CS):
School: 92% (9th), 95% (10th ICSE), 84% (11th) - 100 or 99 percentile throughout
New SAT: 1460 (680 ERW + 780 M)
SAT subject tests: 800 (Math level 2) and 790 (Physics)

(I only ask for WIT as a safety, since I like the Boston location. I have already been accepted at UAlabama and I will probably get a full tuition scholarship there, and I like the university already.)

I wouldn’t bother. With those stats you can get into much better schools for CS, including RPI, if you feel the need to apply elsewhere than Bama.

It is perfectly OK for you to contact the financial aid office and ask about aid for internationals. They will be able to tell you what their policy is.

Turns out I had submitted my application on December 23. Interesting. I have no memory of doing that.

I don’t think I’m going to send the SAT score though.
