The ACT says on its website that you can have a test date record deleted. Has anyone ever done this? How much does it cost? Do they ask you why you want to delete the record?

It is free to delete records but check to make sure that your high school won’t include your ACT scores in the transcript.

Thank you ndl1290! Just wondering- have you done it yourself?

Nobody else? D:

I hope I never have to do this

^^ agreed! I was just curious because I know they have an option to delete test records (sorta like SAT score choice, maybe?) and I was thinking maybe I could just get rid of one of my lower scores. It’s not that bad in the first place, but still…why keep it anyway, right?

No I’ve never done it.

^ Just curious then - how do you know it’s free?

They don’t say it is free explicitly, but there is no mention of a fee on this page: [Registration | 2012 - 2013 ACT Fees and Services | ACT Student](<a href=“ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test”>ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test)

Also, here is the FAQ for deleting a test record: [Frequently Asked Questions | How do I delete a test date record? | ACT Student](http://www.actstudent.org/faq/delete.html)

Ah! Thank you ndl1290!

Well, you choose where you want to send your scores, so you may not have to delete it

^^ this is true for most colleges, but some colleges (like Yale and Stanford, I believe) DO require you to send all scores…although I’m not sure how they would know if you didn’t send all of them, unless your scores were listed on a transcript or something

Has anyone ever done this? Gone through the process of deleting scores?
