Has anyone ever heard of the TutorMe ACT Course?

Hey everyone. Another mom at my son’s school told me about this new online ACT course the other day and I was wondering if it’s any good. I checked out their promo video and it seems interesting since it’s fully animated.

Any thoughts?
Also has anyone ever heard of TutorMe before? Catchy name…

I have not heard of it. How much is it?

It looks like it has 500 questions, and that may not be enough to prep with.

If there is a free trial, you can always give it a try.

@heretohelp it looks like its $79 for 6 months of access. I’m gonna try it out, but I’d love to hear some more feedback from anyone who has taken it.

My youngest son found out about the TutorMe from a friend and asked us to purchase it for him. I had never heard of them, but I thought $80 wasn’t a huge expense for the potential gain.

My son attends a rigorous private HS and has an excellent GPA. However, his standardized test taking skills have always been his weakness. So far he has really enjoyed the course. From what I’ve seen, the practice questions are helpful and the animated lessons are engaging.

As for score improvement, he hasn’t taken the exam yet but he has already increased 4 points on a practice test he has taken. So yes, I would recommend it.

Holy Grails never work. It isn’t hard to get the 10 available ACT tests out there in the spider web and just take them. What motivates people to go to PR, Cap-plan, TutorMe, some other crap when one can just sit down and improve all by him/herself? Perplexing.

Well @BeCambridge I think what’s special about this TutorMe course is that it is completely animated. Lots of kids hate sitting next down and reading the books. I know my son can’t be there for more than 45 min before taking a break. With this course being animated I think our kids will actually be engaged and enjoy it. We just bought the course for our son so I’ll keep you updated

Whatever works for him well is the best. Every approach is individualized.

Just wondering if there is any other feedback? I am thinking of having my child try it.

@elizabethstanfel - you’ve made your first post to tout the virtues of a business. Are you associated with that business in any way?

@natajacobson74
How is the TutorMe program going? Did the program help your son?

I would not recommend an online prep class if you require handholding. For self-motivated people, crack. is the best option. If the test taker not motivated to study on your own, then you likely will stop checking the online pages after some time, regardless of $$ invested.

My school offered it to the students for free and it is interesting but not very helpful if your child is aiming for above a 30 on the ACT. It’s just really simple and goes over basic rules and such.

It’s ok, but compared to Kaplan and the rest, it’s miles better. I’m from UK so getting into college is harder as we have no support from schools with act, course pushed my score higher than anything else out there and was more informative than the rest. Keep it up TutorMe

sounds good, but confused as to whether the price is $80 or $249
