I heard from my friend that http://www.apexlearning.com offers AP online course... but there is no trial class stuff. I mean I could not know how a course proceeds, how a online course teacher teache, etc. before I pay a fee.

if there is anyone who has ever taken this course... can you please explain how was it.... do you recommend this course......, etc.

Thank you~

I have. I would most certainly not reccomend it. (I did AP Chem/Chem)

The course materials did not line up well with the quizzes. There were numerous technological challenges, such as losing assignments. Some of these would happen during tests. I find it MUCH easier just to self study.

I'm actually in AP World History online right now. My school kind of sucks when it comes to APs so I had to go online. What I would do is speak to your school guidance counselor about how you're interested in doing it. My school (suburban public) is paying for the entire class and I get credits for it. So far the only downsides are the amount of work (like 12 hours a week...just for one class) and that I don't know how well I'll remember it when it comes to the AP exam because I don't have a teacher explaining stuff, just a textbook. I'm halfway through (its a yearlong class). Don't count on the teacher to help you all that much. You're mainly just going through and doing the assignments. He'll grade them with a sentence or two of feedback at most. You'll just work through a laundry-list of assignments which get boring and repetitive. If the school pays for it, do it for the sake of the credits (an independent study also looks very good on college apps)but otherwise I'd say no.
