Still haven't got one. :( Though Yale says interviews don't matter that much, in my country those who got in had all been interviewed. Now I'm really freaking out and check my e-mail like 73 times a day. Just wanna see if anyone is lucky enough to be contacted for one?

Depending upon where you live, and how many alumni are in your area, it may take 1-4 weeks to schedule an interview. Keep checking your email (especially you junk folder) throughout the month of November.

@gibby thanks for the info =) I guess I’ll just calm down and do my waiting.

I’m in the USA and we process hundreds of interviews. I haven’t done a single one yet. Relax.

If I already had an on-campus interview, will I not get an alumni interview?

I still don’t have an Eli account so I’m not worried yet :)

shyams: It’s not likely unless there’s a surplus of alumni interview openings. The fact is that applicants have grown faster than alumni are able to interview. Therefore, your name goes to the bottom of the list for alumni interview assignments. Not impossible, but not likely.

Unless you’re an EA applicant – maybe your chance for a 2nd interview goes up slightly.

Re: two interviews

Had an on-campus in the summer, was offered one a few days ago with an alumni. Granted, I live in a town with a lot of Yale graduates. I think it really all depends on where you live and the size of the ASC.

I just got an email for one! He’s a movie producer…I’m pretty excited. I still don’t have an Eli account, but he said Yale contacted him today.

@T26E4 Thank you I feel much better now. ;)

chicamisteriosa, that’s pretty cool! I think the Eli accounts arrive later than the interviews so don’t worry

Had mine last sunday

Haven’t had mine yet, but I live in the deep south.

Was just contacted by e-mail. Will have it sometimes next week.

I really envy you guys but wish you good luck!

I know for sure I’ll get one because my dad knows an alum who conducts interviews in the area. Not sure how I feel about it…I know it’ll be fine but apparently this man is quite formal and I’m one with a louder and bubbly personality so I’m a little nervous! Good luck to you all in your application process :)

ajourj: that alumnus will 99% likely recuse himself from interviewing you since he knows your father. I certainly would.

T26E4, when is the deadline for alumni to submit SCEA interview reports?

went to yale for an on-campus but it didn’t go very well at all…really hoping to get a second shot

@violin: Dec 01 for SCEA. For QB, I think it’s Nov 16…

@ajbourj: did you simultaneously apply EA to Georgetown and SCEA to Yale? That’s a clear violation of Yale’s policy, you know. Or did you apply RD to Yale?
