Has anyone got UCLA Regent Scholarship notifications?

I got the regents scholarship too. Checked on myfao after looking on this post. I didn’t get an email though.

What happens now? Anyone going to the OSP? It doesn’t specify what we do once we get the letter? How do we join the RSSLA?

I wish they’d tell me if I didn’t get it so I could stop wondering. I still have to write my essay for the UCSC one! :(

@UCLAapplicant, congratulations, man. I wish I could go to the OSP but I have a chem midterm on the specified Friday. Once you receive the letter click on the title labeled “Regents Scholars Contract” on the left menu. Once you read all the requirements, and if you decide you want to accept, click the “I have read all the above and agree/accept etc etc” box and click the submit button. You should receive this message once it successfully clears:
"Thank you!

Once again, congratulations on being selected as a UC Regents Scholar. You can always access more information regarding the Regents Scholars Society by visiting [Regents Scholar Society at UCLA](<a href=“UCLA Regents Scholar Society”>http://www.rssla.org/)

Thank You."

Hey everybody that got Regents, I wanted to ask: Did you guys that received the regents also receive FAFSA grant money? I have a theory that they are awarding it to people who are “need based”. For example I got $0 from FAFSA and no regents so far but feel my application was very strong. My friend got the regents and also got $17,000 grant just for this year from UCLA. Thanks guys.

I wasn’t awarded any grant money as my parent’s income bracket is too high to qualify for the need-based Cal Grants. I did, however, receive way more support than I had previously thought I’d receive. All of my financial aid is in the form of UCLA Scholarships: the Scholarship Recognition award provided around 15k, Regents awarded the additional minimum of 2k, and a bonus “University Scholarship” provided around ~8k. And to think I was prepared to face the full 32k unsupported by any financial aid…
