Didn’t get accepted/rejected yet but they received my preliminary transcripts… So maybe soon?

Oh, sorry I didn’t specify earlier - I applied as a first-time freshman. They never asked me for my transcripts. CSU’s normally don’t do that. They did request an unofficial transcript from the community college where I took some courses at though. Don’t know why. But it’s okay because I’m in! :)

@ichoosehouse did you send unofficial transcrips to CSUN? I order my official transcrips but they might take 3 weeks and since they are rejecting fron other Cal State U I want to make sure they get something from me. What do you guys think?

If you want them to get your transcripts on time, I suggest you do a rush order. Ask the school if they can send you a tracking number of the rush order transcripts also.

@feucla, Well, I reported my grades directly on the application, but they never asked me personally to send in any official or unofficial transcripts. I do think, however, that they contacted my school directly and asked for them, as well as my community college.

Well they have their tier 1 which means you’re first priority because of where you live. Considering you live in LA, and Northridge is in LA… You should be accepted. I got my acceptance a few weeks ago.

Nothing yet. I should be considered in their Tier 1 category since I live in LA county (HWY 14).

They have a list of schools on their website. Maybe you should check it out.

Is anyone that has been accepted from out of the area?

Well I’m in California but I’m out of the local area of LA.

I believe CSUN notifies by email first

They notify online on your account and by the next day they’ll notify by email. Then weeks and your letter will come in.

Received my acceptance email yesterday.
:)

Hello

Any international heard from Skidmore…yet?. We are already way past late March aren’t we?

Hi fellow transfers! New poster here, but I’ve been following for a while.

Finally wanted to post because I’m getting so anxious it’s crazy.

So I’ve gotten admitted into CSUN and UCSC. For 2 months nothing was new in my CSUN portal, after being admitted, and I signed on last friday and they had the “account summary” and under that in “my checklist”, it says,
“Student:
You are a freshman for fall 2013 sem … My major blah”

… Then under that, it says,

“Applicant:
You have applied as a Transfer student, blah, admitted, and so on”.

My concern is … Why does the STUDENT section say I’m a freshman when I’m really a transfer? Is it because it’ll be my first year there? I’ll be calling tomorrow but I was just wondering if others are experiencing the same things … Well, good luck!

Still haven’t heard anything. Has your admissions incomplete tasks asked you for your final college transcripts? Mine hasn’t changed for a month or so.

@smurray09 it should ask for your final college transcripts if you submitted a preliminary with “work in progress”. They thought my preliminary was my final cause I completed all the reqs but they just adviced me to fax them my in progress and then my final one when spring grades are out.

I’m thinking because I have 1 prerequisite to do they haven’t made a decision yet?

@smurray09 or they’re just behind on transcripts in general. I got admitted about two weeks after they received my transcript, which I sent early Jan. Hang in there!
