Thanks! I’m sending my last transcripts in may since that’s when my class finishes. I’ve got rejected from 2 schools and I’m really banking on CSUN. Hope I get in!

@smurray09 Can I ask what it says on your checklist? Is there one that says “Student” and on the bottom that says “Applicant”?

@smurray09 nevermind! Ahaha, I’ll just ask tomorrow.

Mine just says Applicant. Sorry for the late response, btw! @Rosey

hello i am a Undergraduate transfer student from san diego to CSUN and i just send my transcripts last month and they received them 2 weeks ago. i know its super late but when would they tell me if i been accepted or not?

@crystalbc they accepted me less than a month after they received my transcripts. Although, I think right now it might take them a while longer. Don’t worry, sometimes it takes schools up to June to release decisions (:

@Roseyy So I got rejected, but because it was something that my school didn’t do correctly. They didn’t add my course in progress in my official transcripts, and CSUN isn’t taking my critical thinking classes that I completed last year because it’s “not in their curriculum”. Which doesn’t make sense to me at all. So in order for me to get re-evaluated at CSUN, I have to send CSUN my unofficial transcripts to verify that I’m actually taking the math class and I have to get AVC’s (Antelope Valley College) approval that the course will transfer and get a CSU GE certificate from them. It’s all too much, but I’ve sent them all out today, so hopefully I’ll find something out next month. They didn’t say anything about my GPA so I know that’s not the case at all. They also told me that if I would’ve said that I’m a Veteran Dependent, which I am, that they would’ve waived the Critical Thinking portion of the application for me. I sent them all my G.I. Bill paperwork and PSC orders from my previous base to prove that I’m indeed a Veteran Dependent.

I’m wondering could this be the case with all the colleges that I applied to? I’m going to call them all except SDSU becuase I know that they’re decision is final.

@smurray09 oh geez. That’s weird. Yeah when my school sent my preliminary transcript, it didn’t include my WP but good thing I finished all the reqs last spring. I’m sure if they asked you for supporting documents, the re-evaluation will be smooth. They initially said I was ineligible for grants but when I talked to them, they said just send the docs that prove I’m eligible and they will re-evaluate within 6-8 wks.

It’s just documents after documents, but it’s okay. At least they’re actually going to re-evaluate you right?

@smurray09 is CSUN your first choice?

It is now lol

@Roseyy sorry for the late response again :). I’ve sent them my unofficial transcripts so my math is good. I’m just waiting for my old CCC to give me my cert so they can forward that to CSUN. Hopefully they send it quick.

@smurray09 oh okayyy. I’m sure it’ll be fine after that then. What’s your major?

@Roseyy I just changed it to Sociology - Criminology… U?

Has any transfer students received any acceptance or rejection letters from CSUN via portal or mail???

I applied for fall 2013 and still haven’t received any notice. It’s already the end of April! I called in a month ago and they said they were processing my transcript. I’m getting impatient lol.

@clamchowdaa I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while now, and i’m in the same position as you, transfer student applied for F’13 and no update on the portal and no email/mail. I called them at the beginning of April and they told me to check in the middle of May.
Where are you transferring from?

@clamchowdaa @myusernameiscool I’m in the same boat. Still no acceptance/rejection, and I’m a transfer student from a college in the area. I’m getting nervous.

@myusernameiscool @breezy4 I know, it is so frustrating because I’ve heard back from all the CSU’s except northridge. I’m coming from a cc up in norcal.Good luck on both of your guys acceptance letters too.

@clamchowdaa @breezy4
yeah, i’ve heard from other CSUs already too, the waiting game is not a fun one. and I’m coming from a cc in norcal too, nice!
so i called the A&R office yesterday, and they told me to check back in two or three weeks. which isn’t really ideal, since intent to enroll for the other CSUs are on May 1st. WTH CSUN?

Actually for CSUN, their intent to register isn’t due till July for transfers … But other CSUs are either May or June. In their site, they say “if you are admitted around June 18, you have 14 days to accept admission”. So I’m guessing that’s around the final date they’ll release decisions …

I meant: wth, why is it so late compared to other CSUs, not what I think you thought i meant ahaha sorry for the confusion. but I think you’re right, around May or June is when they should give EVERYONE admission decision because their intent to enroll is so late compared to other CSUs. but then again, im not sure lol
