Hey guys,
Just trying to see if anyone has gotten accepted into Liberal Arts - Gov't or CNS - Mathematics that are outside of the top 8 percentile. Just trying to see for my friend's!

So I was already admitted to Liberal Arts dept. of Government. But all of the admissions should be out this week from what I’ve heard:)

My S was granted his 2nd choice major, CNS- Computer Science and not his first choice, CNS- Math. He is outside the top 8%. ACT 32. Private college pre-high school, top 1/4. Nat’l Merit commended.

Review admits are holistic. I think the fact that my son programs in several languages (self taught) is what aligned him with CS versus Math in the reviewers’ eyes.

Best wishes to you and friends on favorable admissions decisions!!

Yeah Eaglemom! You gave me congratulations, haha, I got already admitted into Computer Science as well and I was out of top 8 percent… but I’m posting for my friends who are also out of the percentile and applied for a little “easier” departments. But yeah congrats on your son!
And Sunshine, congrats to you as well, how were your stats? GPA/SAT?

Eaglemom, I am shocked that ACT 32 and NM comm. doesn’t get accepted into Math! Must be a small department? I would think they would take most everyone; seems more kids want engineering or CS. So glad I didn’t have to be that smart when I majored in Math!
