Has anyone gotten accepted into NB yet?

i just checked it

My son did receive an email on his admission but we didn’t know until I checked his status on Monday.

First Year Student
GPA: 4.15
SAT: 1390 CR+M

I got accepted! Does any one know when they will be sending out financial aid decisions? Should scholarship info have come with the acceptance (if i got any?)

Has anyone got an Merit aid as yet or will they make those decisions later on?

I emailed them asking the same question and they said they would start letting people know after January.

@highachiever793 - - what are you stats?

does anyone think i can get in? i applied in september and haven’t heard back and I’m getting nervous =/

GPA: 3.53 weighted
SAT: M610 CR580 W700 1190/1890
Lots of AP/honors courses. 5 on US History AP, taking 3 more this year
Sent first marking period grades of senior year (4.03 GPA and expecting to keep up those grades)

Extracurriculars:
4 years of varsity soccer&basketball, treasurer of student congress, spent my past two summers volunteering at a camp, also volunteer with multiple other organizations, went to New Orleans to rebuild Katrina-stricken houses. Many more EC’s but those are the main ones.

Applied to Business School and SAS.

I think you can get into SAS, but I’m not entirely sure with Business. Your GPA might be a little on the low side for it. Unfortunately, Rutgers doesn’t initially use a holistic approach. Meaning they only look at GPA and SAT.

@tomtom

4.1 weighted GPA
1990 SAT: 660CR 660M 670W

How many SAT 2’s do you need for Rutgers Engineering from College Board?

Does anyone know when admitted students (we already paid $150 deposit) should expect more paperwork/information, including housing info? We’ve heard the earlier you make your deposit, the better your chance to get your housing choice.

my daughter got in a week ago- applied in october- NB SAS

My D’s classmate was accepted 5 days after she hit the Send button. last week.

iLoveNewYork15 - I still haven’t heard anything either and i have like the same stats as you

3.57 GPA weighted
1930 SAT (650 CR/620 M/660 W)
5 AP courses by the time I graduate, I got two 5’s and one 4 when I took the AP tests last year
Good extracurriculars

And I applied to Mason Gross and SAS

I’m starting to get nervous, I understand not hearing anything from Mason Gross since I didn’t audition yet, but I thought I had good enough grades to get into SAS…

Can I get in with a 3.5 UW/4.1 W GPA and a ACT score of a 23 (about 1590/2400 on SAT)?

What are my chances.
3.1 GPA which i know seems low but i come from a very competitive high school in CT
born in new jersey, mother went to rutgers
ACT:28
applied for Arts and sciences

What about mine…
2.9 which i know is very low and a 25 on my act

iLoveNewYork15 & Iks1192 and anyone else that this may apply to. My S - an OSS was initially not offered admission to the New Brunswick campus, but got accepted at the other Rutgers locations. Rutgers was basically off our list until he got an offer in March out of the blue for the New Brunswick campus. We thought it a mistake, but called and were told that they had looked at his application more carefully. We did not ask them to take another look, but I would say if you are not accepted, I would call and ask if they could look closer at your whole application. Best of luck!

D sent application on 10/30 and got e-mail acceptance on 11/06 (only 6 working days, can’t believe it!!!), school of business, engineering and HSS.

In state student, 3.10 GPA, 2300 SAT, 34 ACT, average ECs, no leadership, mostly B but two or three C on her transcript.

We are happy about to have Rutgers !

seems like the only people who got in so far have top GPA and/or SAT scores. hopefully they start sending notices to the more average applicants soon =/
