I love NY, did you apply for fall or spring? Are you first yr student or transfer?

@ iLoveNewYork15 - what are your stats (gpa w/uw and sat/act scores)?

fall semester 1st year student
wGPA: 3.53
SAT: 1890
5 on AP US History, taking 2 more APs this year. Many honors courses throughout high school
lots of EC’s, volunteer, etc… it’s all listed on another page on this post
applied to SAS and business

Completed all requirements more than 10 days back and application was marked as complete. However, no decisions as yet. I thought it was rolling admissions.

BTW, from NJ, top 7-8%, SAT 2270. Someone said they have a program which automatically admits students above a cutoff … will these stats be qualified for that

How long will it take to hear from them?

Thanks

I got accepted next spring as transfer. SAS in NB and SEBS in NB

itsjai - I’m surprised you haven’t heard. It does seem that in-state kids with stats good enough for the Honors program (which yours are) are automatic admits. The may have only been true if you applied by the Nov 1 EA deadline, but your SATs are slightly better than my Ds & she heard back 4 days after submitting her ap.

Has anyone, who applied after Nov 1, got admitted? Or are they still admitting EA applicants and will release the list of RD applicants later?

I applied as EA and still haven’t gotten an admission decision yet…

I applied last Sunday and still haven’t heard back yet. I’m starting to get impatient :P

itsjai/I applied before Nov 1st. However, I’m international students. So dead line was Oct 1st. I literally applied a month after dead line. I got accepted 3 weeks after as transfer coming spring.

my status changed to admitted today morning … got in SAS and Business. However, engineering is still pending … I guess in a few days.
Thanks for all the replies
Now I am wondering how to find out if I got into the Honors program and when will they give us information about Scholarships

I believe Honors is an automatic admit if you meet the criteria. I’ve heard some, but not all, Scholarship info is communicated mid-Dec.

Is there some link on your page to tell you that tells you that you have been admitted to the honors program?

Ironic, just got accepted at SAS.

If you apply around now, does that mean you won’t get any decision for a very long time?

my sat scores where sent yesterday even though i handed in the self-report transcript and application two days before the early decision deadline. Im beyond nervous!!!

i got:

SAT: Math: 660 Writing 600 Reading (490!!)yes i know my reading is beyond terrible
Composite: 1750
GPA: 3.5(B+ or A-) Unweighted (Freshman 3.5) (Sophomore 3.7) (Junior 3.2, i blame it on chem) and im currently a senior
4.4 Weighted B+ (somebody shoot me)
AP: US HISTORY, BIOLOGY, LIT/COMP, LANG/COMP, AND WORLD HISTORY, 5 in total
Honors: French, Chemistry, and Physics
Extracurricular: Tennis 2 years, French Club, Karate 6 years
Leadership; Council President of my sunday school
I’m Asian which probably lowered my chances by a lot.

Im applying to NB Arts and Sciences
NB School of Environmental and Biological Sciences
Newark Arts and Sciences(don’t chance me this one, i only care about NB)

i know my reading score is horrible, but do you think everything else makes up for it, or does rutgers only care about sat scores?

Quick question

I had to resubmit my SRAR because i put the wrong gpa. I put my Unweighted (3.39) one instead of Weighted (4.08). Do you think they have already judged/seen my app because they got all my stuff about 2 weeks ago? Or do you think I’m still good because the deadline isnt here yet and it still says “in process”?
