Has anyone gotten in with under a 3.7?

It seems like 99% of the students who were accepted had an unweighted GPA of 3.7 or higher (excluding the national level sports stars, math genius, olympians, etc).

So, is it possible to get in with a 3.6-3.7? (without being nationally accomplished) thank you.

Not that I know of...
But it could be possible if you have other stuff going for you like ECs and good scores

i had a 3.76 weighted, but am a top national fencer and had strong music ec and good scores, my gpa wasn't great tho

wow congratulations thomas. that's an amazing accomplishment.

I'd have about a 4.3 weighted but without it, i'd be in the 3.6 - 3.7 range..

kids from my son's school got in with under a 3.7

i know it is retarded ( my school sucks), but how can a person has a GPA over 4.0?

i think it depends on the school...

Most students with over 4.0 GPAs are weighted. That means that if they were in an AP (or Honors, again, it depends on the school) class, one point would be added to the class.

example:
AP US History [A] - 5.0
Algebra II [A] - 4.0
English [A] - 4.0
Weighted GPA = 4.33

a kid in my grade got in with a 3.6.... but he's a nationally ranked swimmer
