Is there anyone on this website, that goes to UCLA right now, that did TAP before you transferred to UCLA. Also are you pretty much a shoe into UCLA for a nonimpacted major as long as you finish your requirements and finish tap?

Although you’ve started multiple threads with more or less the same question, I understand your anxiety.

I personally have never seen a TAP applicant get rejected if he/she applied “correctly.” By which I mean applied with both a primary AND alternate major (where the alternate was a NON-IMPACTED major), had prereqs completed for both majors, and had a decent GPA (~3.3 or greater).

@Levonid- have you ever heard of anyone not getting into their alternative major w/TAP, when the pre req(s) were not offered at their community colleges?

@la4ever09: Not that I know of - but then again it depends on your major and the number of prereqs. Though it’s assumed that if your CC doesn’t offer it, it’s not held against you. But of course if someone else has taken it at another CC, then they would be more competitive (or at least, that’s what I assume).

I understand. The reason i asked this question is because i applied with a 3.4 with TAP and my alternate is women’s studies. There is only one pre req required, but each of the four cc’s i attended did not articulate an equivalent course. I checked assist and i only found 2 cc’s that offered the course. So hopefully i won’t be penalized.
