With only "very demanding" classes checked off?

I am curious about this, too! I know as long as you’re in the top 5% it’s okay, but have any of you accepted people had “very demanding” checked off, as oppose to “most demanding”?

Wait…am I the only person who wasn’t allowed to look at my secondary school report and teacher evaluations?!

no…i wasnt able to either sinb

kinda sux

I was admitted to Wharton ED. I didn’t see my counselor’s report, but I can’t even imagine he checked anything other than “most demanding.” I had 16 AP classes in four years, including 6 my senior year.

@Hope Full Wow that’s the most I’ve ever seen a student take. How do you manage to get shut eye?

@Cookster Although I wasn’t able to see, I don’t think I got a lot “most demanding”, because at our school, everyone has the same courses (3 IB HL, 3 IB SL). :S:S

I took 3 AP classes my sophomore year, 6 my junior year, and 7 this year. In our school, AP Gov and AP Econ are one semester each, so you can take 7 as a senior. Actually, taking 16 AP classes is pretty common at my school, which is very much dominated by overschieving students. A few students have taken even more, but they did some in the summer at another high school or on-line.

I don’t sleep much and the end of each semester is a nightmare for me, especially in May when finals and AP tests are the same week.

One of my friends who is two-years older than me took the same class schedule that I am taking, and he was accepted to Wharton. He told me last summer that Wharton, though difficult, is easier than our high school, which is really brutal. Our class is about 350 students and about 50% of those are Asian. Aabout 90% of the Asian students started high school with the goal of being in the top 10%, but that’s not an easy accomplishment. In my class, the top 10% has a GPA ranging from 4.3 to 4.7, so clearly doing tons of AP classes is mandatory. The sad news is for my friends who have a 3.9 or so. In another school, that would be a great GPA. In our school, that puts you in the middle of the class.

wow that is some competition right there, how much are AP classes weight at your school, at mine they are an additional .0244 every semester. I will only have to take 11 APs to achieve around a 4.8, that is including 3 classes that aren’t AP but weighted like an AP.

In a regular class, an A = 4.0, a B = 3.0, etc. In an AP class, an A = 5.0, a B = 4.0, etc. That’s pretty much the scale for all schools in my area.

wow that’s a lot of asians! do you go to some kind of private school or somewhere in california?

i’ll only have 16 APs because I took some online
