Maybe it was my post. My son was in the basement of Donner and it was all male, so you don't have to worry if it's still the same.

fwiw, he loved Donner. It wasn't really a basement as such (more like a half story below the first floor, but it's on a steep hill so he was not "below ground"), he had 2 nice full windows. Donner at least his freshman year was very social, and his double room was downright big. It's ugly on the outside but they did inside renovations 4 or 5 years ago.

My S was in Henderson his freshman year and really liked it. In fact he tried to get back in there for next year, (junior year) but wasn't able to during room draw.

Wheres the place to live if you want to/like to socialize and party a lot? Do all the dorms have equal amounts of girls and boys or does it vary?

Hot rats: if you want to party a lot, join a frat. I don't know about the male/female ratios of individual dorms. Also keep in mind some are coed and some are single-sex.

But there must be a difference... I read somewhere that New house had a better mix of CIT people and liberal arts. I can imagine that a CIT dominated dorm would be far from optimal. It would be good to know of dorms with a wide selection of different majors, otherwise it may get a bit dull.

I believe you can request one but they are hard to come by. My s finally got one and he is going to be a junior. The best he was able to get as a frosh was a Prime Double.
