<p>They don't even know if they will have any openings till May first. it will probably be in may, but might not be till July</p>
<p>what did you do when you were waitlisted? was there other stuff you sent in and what not? did you write a loooong letter begging to be taken off the waitlist?</p>

<p>The decisions were released about 2 weeks ago and I was waitlisted. In the decision letter it said the OFFICIAL waitlist offer will be coming later with more details.</p>
<p>oh well you have to wait till aftter may 1st until the rest of the admitted students decide to accept or rescind their offer of admission so techinically, no. no one has received thier final offical waitlist offer...</p>
<p>So, after May 1st they will send me a letter with an offer to officially be put on the waitlist. Then, if I'm accepted through the waitlist I will get another letter?</p>
<p>Just wondering because I already got the offer from Columbia to be put on their waitlist and the Stanford letter said I should be expecting more information in the coming days.</p>
<p>Jared4tw......my daughter was waitlisted. You should have received a card from Stanford asking if you would like to accept your spot on the waitlist.
That card needs to be sent back to them before May 1st. Then, after May 1st they will let you know as to your status on that list. If you haven't received it, give them a call</p>
<p>I got my card a week and a half ago. I still have to send in my update and letter of intent to enroll, though.</p>
