has anyone gotten their TO or FSH decisions?

What is the Honors Society? Is it just for the College of Letters and Science?
did it require an app or invitation to apply? ...

lol For5aken: If I didn't get the trustee, my parents would have sent me to Berkeley.

I wonder how scholarships work, though. Do they offer them to someone else if someone doesn't want to go? Two of my friends who got presidential don't plan on going to USC...

i'll take theirs! : ) haha

Usually if they want to award 100 scholarships, they will offer some larger number (like 150-175) to kids so that the likely number of winners who enroll will be 100. That's why the actual number of Trustee winners varies so much year to year. They do not offer scholarships refused by one applicant to another applicant.

Ohhh okay. :) Thanks for clearing that up.

i was kidding... but that would be nice!!!

received my TO acceptance today by the way....
i love how they said we'd know by the 31st and the letter is dated April 3! : )

got my TO acceptance today as well. I'm 99% I'll be doing it, although it seems like everyone says it's so hard, but at my scholarship interview most of the students I talked to said do it because you get better professors and its more interesting and it's not really that much more work.

Son got his TO acceptance today as well. It seems to take a long time for the mail to make it to Philly.

reasonabledad: did your son decide where he'll be going to school yet?

Something's wrong with my mail. They haven't sent me my letter yet (although I've gotten other mail from them), so I called them and they just sent me an email that I was accepted. Yay, but my mail still sucks. :/

My son is sick of waiting for USC. Got into Georgia Tech & Case Western and few others so I think he's Atlanta bound. Why do they think kids are going to wait til mid April? If you're getting into USC, you're getting into a lot of other good schools so they'd better pony up some merit money to attract kids away from other acceptances at this point. Frustrated parent

Sarah ~ Probably USC. As some time has passed, and he did get a scholarship, and TO, it is starting to look better to him. I think he wants to wait to see the school again during the April 17 Explore USC date, then make up his mind. He hasn't been physically on campus since 2004.

awesome! what scholarship did he end up getting?

i'll be going to Explore USC on April 17, so maybe i'll see you guys there!

$10K scholarship. I've forgotten what it's called! And we'll look for you on the 17th. Good luck.
