<p>we are using Discover. Called the school and had them change from the preferred guarantor to Discover, guarantor is Great lakes. No problems at all. Took 5 minutes. And they are all set to pay the school in a few weeks (when all the stafford lendors pay out. Best part, NO FEES AT ALL for stafford loan</p>
<p>We have Sallie Mae and NJClass for stafford and plus loans. Not a problem yet, but son still in school. NJClass has pretty good rates in you live or go to a NJ school.</p>
<p>Nothing wrong with the firms or the loans. What is telling is that you want to borrow, at higher interest rates, beyond the govenmental loan programs. There is much advice against borrowing beyond $20,000 total, unless you are fairly certain of your future prospects.</p>
