Case web site says DS's app is complete and is currently under review by an admissions counselor. ANy idea of how long before hearing a decision? Has anyone else heard anything yet?

From last year's experience, we were told EA decisions would be mailed in late Dec. Called mid Dec, were told they would be mailed in early Jan. Finally heard mid Jan with an email on a Friday, then followed with acceptance letter dated Jan 14, recieved several days later. I would not expect much earlier response this year.

If the "new" email option is available again, it is a quick response that allows you and your student to relax until the letter comes with any merit $$. Good luck!

How did you sign up for an email notification last year? I didn't hear from my son that that was an option.

On the day that acceptances were to be issued, the admissions page had a link to allow you to receive your status via email. It showed up on a Friday, rather unexpected, but served its purpose well.

From what I heard at an accepted students weekend in Jan, Case intended to have more info available online as to application status etc. Sounds like that is the case this year, so I am certain the email option will be available when letters go out.

November 2005
Complete and mail your application for Early Action admission by November 1 prior to the year you plan to attend Case. Applicants are notified of a decision by January 1.

That's what they said last year. I say relax, there is nothing you can do now.

My son got in EA last year and they were late with the decisions. i got the inpression they were swamped. But it is worth the wait. The FA package wwas real good (though my son did not attend in the end).

Last year they got a record number of applications; this year is looking like the same in numbers but I think they're prepared for it. Two years ago my classmates and myself who applied go Case all got our EA letters before Christmas.
