My D auditioned in November and was told that students would be notified of their decision by December 20th and she hasn’t heard anything. At this point, she assumes it’s a No. But I’m wondering if anyone who auditioned in November has heard anything yet?

My daughter auditioned November also and we haven’t heard either not have I seen any posts about it on CC. Perhaps they are behind?? I thought we would hear either way by the 20th so not sure what it means that we haven’t. Hopefully no news is good news! Good luck!

I called them and asked when the decisions were going out. they said everyone would know by march? I’m not sure, I’m doing the january audition, and that’s what they told me!

I did hear on the 21st and she got in! Hope you received good news too.

Nordeal - add to the acceptance thread CONGRATS!

We still haven’t heard. Did you hear by letter?

And congratulations Nordeal!

We did hear by mail. it was a small envelope which led me to believe it was a rejection and it was stamped theater dept. on the front. Thank you so much for the congrats! She was very happy as am I…good luck to everyone. I’m sure the mail is behind with the holiday and i don’t think not hearing means anything other than that. We were supposed to hear either way by the 20th. I hope you hear soon!!

Letter arrived today bearing great news! My D was accepted into the MT program.

Congratulations to you and your daughter mammat!

@Nordeal : I work for an educational analysis firm regarding education at the university level. In an effort to begin researching university theater departments nationwide, would you be willing to share the admission experience you and your daughter experienced? Please let me know! I am eager to hear your recollection.

I would be honored to participate! Thank you so much for asking!!

D was accepted to the MT program and was on cloud 9 for days! Sadly, she didn’t get much in aid and I cried when the finaid letter said we (her parents) needed to take $30K in loans per year. Four years of that loan amount is more than my house cost! We are all so disappointed.
