Hi there! I'm new here, but I have been a lurker since high school. I'm a sophomore transfer from another conservatory style program in Illinois and I was wondering if anyone's heard anything from Roosevelt CCPA yet. I auditioned for their Acting Program on Sunday February 17th. I know that they said to wait until around the 15th, but in years past it seems like they've started to send rejections out around this time.

I'm on pins and needles so please do post if you here anything!

Thank you!! I am so in love with this school!

It doesn’t seem like many people on here have auditioned for this school this year (or maybe everyone’s just quietly waiting) but was anybody academically accepted to Roosevelt? I know that’s how they did it in years past and I still haven’t heard anything. I called admissions and they said they have everything they needed and that’s what it says online as well, but still no academic acceptance. My grades and tests are beyond what the school requires, so I’m getting all worried (bad habit, I guess) that I might get rejected from the program because admissions hasn’t accepted me? Anyone have any advice on this?

Best of luck to everyone getting letters and calls this month! :D

My daughter has heard nothing academically or artistically from CCPA. She auditioned during the Chicago Unifieds in early February. Good luck to you!

Same here. My daughter is well above the academic requirements for admission and we have not heard a thing. She auditioned on campus February 17th. The paperwork they gave us indicated that the notification would come by email.

Thanks for the updates guys. I feel much better about the academic acceptance part. I guess they’ll probably send out bulk emails on the 15th about their decisions. Good luck to all of you! <3

Curious–anyone interested in acting looking at the theatre program at UIC–University of Illinois at Chicago (Circle campus)? We really liked that program as well–they only take 16 BFA’s, and they allow students, with permission, to audition for shows outside the program, unlike most first year conservatory programs. The students and staff were really, really nice and down to earth–which wasn’t our experience everywhere.

I have an acquaintance who’s there with a BFA in Acting and she seems to really like it. Chicago is just a great city to be in general, which is why I’m so anxious to hear back about Roosevelt!

From my obsessive post stalking it seems like they sent out rejections before acceptances and last year the 21st was considered “late.” for them. (A student made that comment on a thread last year ). I hope we find out soon because I need to work around my work schedule as far as visiting schools and things like that.
