I think he is an international relations major.

funny thing is, i'm going to be in Dc the rest of this week lol. maybe if i go to the admissions office theyll tell me. im actually doing my second official visit on thursday.

That would be awesome. I'm going to DC next week, maybe I can ask also!

Good luck to all of you. I believe is usually on a thursday, so it makes sense it would be either the 26 this year or the following Thursday. I hope is this week for all of you. Good luck!

i wish i was going to dc next week! haha ... i was just there like two weeks ago and i miss it terribly :p

yeah, i heard that it was on the 26th last year ... which was a wednesday. i was sort of predicting a wednesday. but i heard that you have that 24 hour notification thing before your actual decision.. so that would mean we would have to get contacted today or something. my prediction is by thursday - but we could be totally surprised!

Just got the e-mail- decisions will be on-line at 6 pm EST tomorrow :)

(why is that so late in the day?!?!?!?!?!?)

my son didn't receive any email... :(

I'd assume it's so late because the admissions officers are working later that day, but I don't know.

^who sent you the email...was it a specific admissions counselor, or Admissions as a whole?

^ Admissions as a whole, I assume, though signed by Dr. Kathryn Napper. Subject line, "A Message About Your GW Application."

just received it!

last minute chances for CCAS and UHP, anyone?:

GPA W: 4.14
GPA UW: 3.95/4.0
ACT: 33

Ah, I'm still waiting for the email!

YES!

haha.. i literally said "OH MY GOD!" out loud.

quote
[/quote]

Late in the day seems to be the pattern....perhaps so it's not disruptive (positively or negatively) to classroom time.

This is what my D's email said. Anybody else get something that says congratulations or some other clue?

A Message about your GW Application

Dear ,

Thank you for applying to The George Washington University and for giving us the opportunity to know more about you.

After reviewing over 19,000 freshman applications, we have finished our evaluations and will begin mailing our decisions tomorrow, March 25. Those of you who are anxious to know your admission decision may visit the Application Status Check of the GW Admissions Activity Center after 6:00 pm (EST) tomorrow. Please note that decisions regarding financial assistance will not be posted on the Activity Center, but will follow separately from the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

You should have received an email including your GWID and instructions for logging on to the Activity Center. As a reminder your GWID is XXXXXXXXX. If you have not had an opportunity to access the Status Check, please do so as soon as possible. If you are unable to log in, please call us at 202-994-6040 before 5:00 pm (EST) tomorrow.

just got the email....anyone else freaking out? this is the first non safety school I will be hearing back from...lets all cross our fingers and hope that CC'ers have a large acceptance rate :D

I haven't been able to stop thinking about the decision so I tried to sign in to the GWebInfo system. (You enter you GWU ID as user name and Birthdate as password MMDDYY). I was allowed in but under the 2009-2010 financial aid year there's no award. Does anyone have an award under the financial aid section?

Hey I was allowed in too but same thing, no fin aid award listed. then again i don;t have everything in yet lol

I can sign in there too

Ok, hopefully they're just posting that stuff later. They just made that section (2009-2010 instead of 2008-2009 and earlier) available today. Nerve racking!
