Has anyone heard from McCombs?

Just wondering if anyone has heard from McCombs about internal transfer...Will they let us all know by July 1st? The status page just says "in July".

Nope i’m still waiting too. I’ve heard by July 1st, July, and 1st week of July. I’m not quite sure what to believe but it better be early because I can only register until July 16th.

Has anyone tried calling to ask? If it’s “by” July 1st, it must be possible then that we’ll hear between now and then right?

I just spent about 10 minutes trying to find a number to McCombs admissions and no luck…maybe you can have better luck?

It’s that main number there. I’ve called it before and I bookmarked that page just in case. I’m calling now!

Ok I just emailed the guy who ran the transfer meeting I attended way back at orientation Summer 2009…hopefully he still plays a part in the decision process.

Ok I am totally confused… the girl I spoke to just now said in the middle of July. That makes no sense to me because I heard straight from the McComb’s site and advisors before that decisions will be made by July 1st or the first week of July. I don’t see how they can be made in the middle of July when registration closes July 16th.

That makes no sense, it has to be July 1st, they have to give us time to register. Unless they leave it open for transfer students?

No I don’t believe they do leave it open for transfer students… because even if you look at the academic calendar registration for all fall students ends July 16th and my RIS reflects this as well. I’m totally confused - but the girl I spoke to sounded like she was a student and not an advisor. Maybe if we try again another time?

I’m emailing Charles Enriquez, the internal transfer advisor, to see if he can clarify.

Haha that’s who I emailed. Go ahead and email him also, and tell him about the idiot girl haha…

This is frustrating. Another member on this site who attended an internal transfer session last week said the advisor mentioned this year’s applicants receiving a decision around July 1st. I even remember Charles saying that at the session I attended this past fall. I’ve been on pins and needles the whole year, i’m dying to know already!

By the way, what are your stats?

Just finished my Freshman year at UT

HE REPLIED ALREADY!

Tina,

We will release decisions on July 1st. I hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please feel free to write.

Charles

What the heck! He hasn’t responded to mine! Well that’s great, now we know. Come on Thursday!

Oh you’re absolutely going to be admitted. I have a 3.66, i’m on the fence I think.

I really hope you’re right about me getting admitted…and I think you should get in as well if you have taken the necessary courses. Supposedly less people applied this year, and you are already above the supposed “minimum” GPA for admission. Also, the institution of the +/- system will have lowered GPAs

Well in order to even access the application system you must have completed the necessary indicator classes, or show proof to an advisor so they can override the system for you. But yes you should be admitted because they start from 4.0 and work their way down until the spots are filled.

I figured you had, there were just some people talking about not having credit for all of the classes and I was thinking to myself…“Ummmm you’re not going to get in…”
