<p>Well today I was able to activate my Network ID as well as create an Email address at NYU. I don't know what that means..but from previous speculation...I hope it means I made it.</p>

<p>For those who are accepted or could get their nyu email, did you recieve anything from NYU that says "congrats admiitted students? or something like that? just curious...</p>

<p>i was able to create a NYU ID and NYU email and login to NYU home,</p>
<p>but i was rejected. i called the admissions office today and asked if i could know due to housing deadlines and i was rejected.</p>

<p>Honestly I think we have to drop the whole NYU NetID speculation. We have people who say that they called NYU adcom and that only accepted NYU students get a Net ID. Then we have another student who says he was able to set up NetID but was rejected. </p>
<p>Then we have people who got their NetID's a few days before their acceptance. Then there are people who have NetID's and then called admissions only to find out that a decision hasnt even been made yet. </p>
<p>As for my case I called this morning because I havent received a decision yet and the admissions counselor told me that absolutely NO decisions will be told over the phone and that a decision for me "has been made" and Ill be receiving it shortly. Later this afternoon, like fifteen minutes ago, I was able to get my Net ID</p>
<p>I think adding to the jumble is the confusion between University ID and the NETID.</p>
<p>The University ID begins with a N and is something like N12346768
The Net ID begins with you initials (at least for my case) like KA and then a 4 digit number.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, I was told via telephone this morning (due to a considerable delay in receiving a decision via mail) that I was not admitted to the Film and Television Department at Tisch due to a "weakness" in my artistic submission.</p>

<p>maybe the nyu adcoms caught on. someone did post on the nyu admissions transfer student forum concerning the net ID's, and now i guess i won't trust it anymore. it was fun while it lasted.</p>
