Has anyone heard from NYU?

JL - im getting that same message

same message

are we rejected :(

nope. need something official first :p. I would be interested if someone reports a different message, but has yet to receive notice or a letter of acceptance.

Hi, everyone I'm new... I would love some input about my transfer issues. I applied to Nyu, still have not heard a reply...but got into the University of Michigan. Should I just accept Umich admissions or should I wait for Nyu? Which school is better?

To which internal schools have you applied and been admitted? (what do you want to study?)

NYU- applied to CAS
UMich- accepted into LAS
Major: Economics

Is cost an issue? Where are you coming from? Umich pretty much dominates in all rankings, will probably provide a better college experience, and will be cheaper. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Econ at either school. Do you have any idea what you might want to do after ugrad?

Does the campus/city of NYU interest you?

If it were me, i'd go with Umich... but that is just me.

No, cost is not really an issue. I'm from Connecticut, and currently go to UConn. After undergrad I want to go to law school. New York and NYU really do interest me and it has been my dream school. But everyone is telling me that Umich would be a better decision, and to stop waiting for my NYU reply.

Why don't you just call NYU and tell them you're under pressure to make a decision due to time constraints, if you are in fact in that position. Someone with a similar (housing app deadline) situation said that they informed NYU of their problem and that they just told them over the phone. I wish I could know right now.

idk...i know UMichi is amazing (in fact i got into the honors program as a freshman), but I really dont like the idea of paying for a state school, when it costs the same as top privates do, +/- 5,000, and nyu is also problematic, b/c ur paying the big bucks for a private, when it feels like a public in terms fo # of students....

Sunday is the day of the devil, the religious have it all backwards. No mail :(.

anyone hear a reply yet?

i think somebody said stern decisions start going out on the 1st (tomorrow).

anyone else recently asked for mid-term reports?

i received my form thursday afternoon, but my profs won't return to campus until monday morning and some on tuesday morning...i feel like i've had the form forever, and i don't want it to look bad that i still haven't submitted it yet...

????? i'm a little worried

nascosi, when you say you received the form... are you saying you were asked for the mid-term reports last Thursday? (mail or email?)

If so, I really don't think you need to worry... it hasn't even been a week.

it was via email...

(and thanks...you're right..hasn't even been a full week)

reachin4thestars, people have already heard back from stern.
do you mean a whole new batch of decisions from stern are getting released today?

i'm about to call them right now. it's may 1st. everything is due today. i need to know.

Anybody hear anything today?
