I know that some of the schools will automatically roll over the non-matches into RD and also that MIT is supposed to notify non-matches of the process for EA. I don't know what other schools do what. Has anyone gotten an email or call from their non-match schools?

S did get an email just a few minutes after I posted this :-)

I got an email from MIT for EA/RD even though I was matched with Stanford. I even got a call from a Stanford admission counselor (I also got a call from QuestBridge)

I am confused

QB partner schools that let non-matched finalists apply ED:

Short deadline alert!
Be aware that some of the QB partner colleges want you to contact them by Dec 2 to let them know if you want to apply ED or RD with them.

You’ll need to CAREFULLY READ the individual guidelines for each college you’re still interested in. Hopefully the direct links below will work.

Some colleges want you to use the QB app in lieu of their application, some want you to use both. Schools will not require you to resend test scores if you already applied there and sent test scores to them for the QB match process. SOME will allow you to apply with some version of ED/EA now. Some will automatically add you to their RD pool of applicants.

If you didn’t already apply to one of the partner schools in the match process and you want to now, you’ll need to let QB know to forward your QB app to each of the partner schools you’re interested in. Then you’ll need to follow up with any required supplemental essays, test scores, common app, financial info, LORs, etc. ASAP!
Questbridge will only forward your QB apps to partner schools AT YOUR REQUEST until Dec. 15th so GET BUSY!

Should you fill out the common app? YES
Should you use your QB app as a supplemental if it’s allowed? YES
Every extra little bit you’re allowed to send a college about yourself, SEND IT. They’ll have more materials to review about you than most of the other applicants are allowed to even send in. Why wouldn’t you take advantage of that? DON’T BE LAZY! The rewards are great for those who are willing to make the effort.
