Has anyone heard of LeTourneau university?

I got accepted to this college a while back. It was my backup choice, but now I didn't get in to my reach choices I might end up going there.

Right now the other school I've been accepted to is Notre Dame. Obviously it has a bigger name, and has a dual-major program in engineering and business that I'm really interested in, but it has a reputation as a party school. I really don't want to go to a school that's more about partying than academics.

Has anyone got any information about LeTourneau? Is it a good school?

P.S. Yes, I am a Christian. I'm not bloody-minded enough to sign up for a religious school without being a member of that religion.

actually I just applied there because of their great aviation program, because I realized that even though Embry Riddle Aeronautical University is the best in aviation is also about $53,000 a year. So LeTourneau University is my back up just in case I don’t end up doing engineering at NYU-POLU or Rochester Institute of Technology, or if I don’t get the NAVY ROTC scholarship so I can pay for Embry Riddle.

By the way Notre Dame is not just known for being a party school but also a very rigorous school. You can easily avoid the parties and form your own study group, hang out with the kids in Notre Dame honors program. If I were you and got enough money to go to Notre Dame you should totally take it. LeTourneau University is not known very well other than for their aviation program. If your not going into aviation I recommend you go somewhere else.

By the way what are you planning to major in?

I want to do engineering. Not sure which kind, probably mechanical. I’m still waiting to hear from Stanford. If I get accepted there then that’s definitely where I’ll be going.
