<p>Has anyone hear of USAA--United States Achievement Academy? My teacher just nominated me for NSMA (NAtional Science Merit Award) and I'm not sure what it is. I asked my counselor and she never heard of it. Is it important to any degree?

<p>The USAA is of the same caliber as Who's Who of US High School Students, National Honor Roll (?), etc. - so to answer your question, it's not prestigious unless you get the $10,000 scholarship.</p>
