They said early May, but so did some other schools that I've already heard back from. I'm getting anxious because I have a deadline to meet for some other schools- will they care if I call the office and just ask "Hey, I'm wondering if you could tell me when transfer decisions are going out?" or will that be annoying?

I called them, they said they will start mailing them first week of May (this week!) and that we will probably start getting them around the 5th or 6th depending where we live.

bumping this up...any news yet? I'm hoping I'll hear soon, I live less than 2 hours from Poughkeepsie so the mail shouldn't take terribly long :/

bites nails

I got a small letter today.... but it was THAT small letter. It was from fin aid asking to clarify something. If fin aid is contacting me so close to when letters are mail out, does this mean I'm probably accepted?

bump..............

mid to late may is when i got my official letter. i heard sooner though because i was an athletic recruit

I called yesterday and they said they were mailing this week. But I don't know if I should trust it since they told Jeannie up there that they were mailing last week. I reallly need to hear...I already had to get an extension on the deadline from my 2nd choice school and I still only have until a week from tomorrow before I have to fork over a deposit. :/

I want to hear. I'm dying! I have no idea how I compare with other applicants to Vassar. Can any of you list your stats so I could get an idea of what I'm up against?

I got my rejection letter today. It said of over 220 kids, they only took 10.

Wow, I have no shot. Time to start finding something bad about Vassar to make rejection easier.

ah, that sucks. I still haven't heard. :/ I guess I shouldn't keep my hopes up then, though.

weeee...got rejected. 10 admitted out of 227. rough.

that's what I hate about LACs and transfer admissions. No idea what the acceptance rate will be like. Last year Vassar took 20% and this year less than 5%. Good luck to all of you.

oh heck. usually the mail comes to my house at 12 but I called and I don't think my mom is home. I'm so nervous I feel like I'm going to puke.

10 out of 227.

just keep saying that to yourself and you'll feel a lot better. :)

rejected too. oh well. their loss.

I know three people who applied, all in NY and not far from Vassar. One yes, one no, and one hasn't heard yet (2 days after the others heard).

i got in, one of the ten i guess... still waiting from brown and penn, hope i'm equally as fortunate. good luck to everyone else.

congrats! what did you do right?
