nope lol weighted GPA

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat. I have the same GPA, but with a 2210 SAT and 11 AP classes. Not to discredit you, congratulations on getting in. I guess my mistakes freshman year were just too bad to amend…

Congrats to everyone who got admitted and my condolenses to those who did not.

Just remember that you don’t know everyone’s circumstances and/or their EC’s, essays, and reccomendations.

I saw fireworks yesterday, and was pleasently surprised, considering I had scores slightly below the median (29 ACT, 3.7 UGA GPA, 6 AP’s) and what I consider to be decent EC’s, reccomendations, and pretty good essays.

Personally, I think my high school helped me (I go one of the top public high schools in the state).

Either way, don’t get discouraged if you didn’t get in! I’m sure you’ll go to an awesome school, if you want it bad enough, you can always transfer in :)

agreed! i had lots of EC’s, leadership, an incredible recommendation and what i thought were very decent essays

sec4life, are you in-state or out of state?

out of state

Uga regular was too easy compared to GT regular…anyways congratz to those who got in

wow idk how I got in now. I’m oos, like one AP class, UGA GPA of like 3.6 but act score of 32. And I didn’t turn in my transcript for first semester grades for this year. Weird i thought i was gonna get rejected. But it was my first choice but I guess I’m going to Auburn

Why are you going to Auburn if you got into your first choice, UGA?

Wow you guys honestly put me to shame. I got in EA with a 1930 SAT and 4.2 Weighted GPA from an out of state school but moved to GA last year. I’m not even going to post my ACT score because it’s so bad haha. On my application, I was labeled an OOS student.

It was honestly probably my GPA but Georgia isn’t even going to consider my GPA for Hope because I achieved it in a different state…booo…:’(

Congrats to everyone accepted!!! UGA accepted 5,000 students out of 18,000 applicants so your acceptance should not be taken lightly.

Because I already paid for my deposits and stuff because I was accepted back in november. And I needed housing, which they already ran out of by february. And they are giving me a lot of scholarships. But if UGA gives me more money, I’ll probably go there. But I’m from Ohio and wanna go somewhere warm. What’s warmer, Auburn or Athens?

They’re probably the same. But Georgia is waaaaaay better than Alabama in my opinion. Atlanta is an hour away from Athens and there are a plethora of things to do in Atlanta. You will never ever get bored.

That’s why I really wanna go there! I got my acceptance packet today and I really want to go there. But do they even have like merit schoarships and stuff? I can’t really find any on their website

I think they do but I don’t think they give out very much. And I heard that they are stingy on their financial aid too. :-// Just go where you will be happy. I know one person that goes to Auburn and I have not heard her complain.

I think most students that have been awarded scholarships have been notified. Check your oasis account.
