Has anyone heard..?

Has anyone new heard from their appeals yet... I called Friday and they said that they'll call by Tuesday if I'm granted admission. I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a call yet.

im excited for tomorow no matter which way it goes..

same here, gods son

today's the day....anyone get calls yet?

I didn't hear anything, so I called them today and they said that we have until the end of the week. I told them that I thought the deadline was the 25th if admitted, she said its taking a little longer than expected, so wait until the 29th, if they dont call until friday, then I guess our decisions weren't reversed. good luck, everyone, and keep us posted.

im so sick of waiting, this is just more false hope even if its true. College can go to hell. Long live community college.

haha same here. i'm not going to ucsd.... my parents think i'm crazy. owell

i called today and he said that if you didn't get a call it pretty much meant that you weren't in

Honestly, if I were one of you and haven't even heard yet, I would just go ahead and send the deposit to another school. I really feel sorry for you guys about this, but the admissions office is really irresponsible if they keep pushing back the notification date.

Yup--same thing as m1a2c2kali, I think they're done. They told me that everyone who was accepted has already been notified. :(

gaaah I missed the call and she left a message.

More. Waiting.

Dear *******,

Thank you for the additional effort you made to ask us for a reconsideration of your admission application to the University of Southern California. I want you to know that your file was re-opened and thoroughly reviewed by a special committee, in light of the information you sent us.

Unfortunately, we stand by our original decision. This year, we were faced with many compelling students and very limited space in the class; and, as such, we granted very few appeals.

Should you wish to consider transferring to USC at a later date, we would be pleased to assist you with this endeavor. In the meantime, we wish you all the best in your college plans.

Sincerely,

Timothy E. Brunold

Associate Dean of Admission and Financial Aid

Director of Undergraduate Admission

well.. i kind of expected this since there was a 5% chance. i'm rejecting UCSD and going to JC to transfer after a year =) gl everyone! uhmm bty is anyone else doing this? and if you have.. please post any suggestions or advice. thanks

I AM THE BRINGER OF HOPE!!!! if you were accepted for spring semester you hear back in the letter they send you. now you can all hate me for giving you hope. what i say is the truth too. peace and one love

I wish I would hear back from USC. Im still waitlisted for CNTV :(

ooohnelle. Don't pass on UCSD! It's ranked no. 32 in the country (USC is 30). It's a great school, and even if you still want to transfer to USC later, it will be a lot easier from UCSD than any JC.

would it really be easier from SD than a JC?

haha no. thanks though! but i've made my decision.. JC is way easier.. i'll be taking about 7 classes per sem.. and doing a lot of work/internships since JC is easy. thennnn hopefully off to usc in a year

I wish you the best of luck! :)

thanks =) you too!

ooohnelle. Please reconsider. 1. UCSD is a prestige university. 2. You may very well discover that you love it, and won't want to transfer, in which case you will graduate after a great 4 years with a very marketable degree. 3. If you still want to transfer to USC, you will have a much better shot from another "equal" university than any JC. 4. There is certainly no guarantee (by a log shot) that you will be able to tranfer from a JC to USC, in which case you will be kicking yourself for not having taken UCSD and screaming "What the hell was I thinking?" Please reconsider.
