Has anyone here been a Buntrock finalist but not been chosen as a scholar?

I interviewed yesterday and now I have to wait for two nervous weeks to hear.

I don’t even think that is possible. I thought I read for certain all Buntrock nominations are guaranteed at least the presidential scholarship.

“The most qualified candidates will be awarded a Presidential Scholarship and will be invited to compete for the Buntrock Scholarship by visiting the St. Olaf campus for interviews with faculty. The invitation to compete for the Buntrock Scholarship will also be specified in the letter of admission.”

Thanks for asking, but I was recently told the results won’t be out until the end of the month.
