<p>Oh, and your SAT score is a terrible judge of your character. Jesus never even took an SAT, and if he had he would have done terribly because he doesn’t speak English. He would have gotten like a 600.</p>
<p>If you mean 1460 on the 1600 scale, that’s actually a very decent score. I got a 1390 out of 1600 the first time I took the SAT as a sophomore. It’s a 1500 now.

<p>1460 out of 2400. I took the SAT again yesterday and felt like I did worse than the last time however I will have to wait until I see the scores to see if that holds true. None of my friends have scored worse than me on this test. My class rank will get me into the college I want to go to which is great so this SAT score is less important in a way but still I feel kind of stupid.</p>
<p>Don’t worry, the SAT tests how well you take the SAT, ya know? It just means you are a more straightforward thinker than the test writers.</p>
<p>This isn’t a good place to ask that question lol. You should consider that question in a national scope, the average is what, around 1500? So roughly 40% of U.S. juniors who take the test score lower than you, that’s a pretty large amount.</p>

<p>If it’s a 1460/2400, take the 10 official 10 practice tests from the collegeboard blue book. As you practice along whatever questions you omit or make mistakes in, review the answers as it will help you. I got an 1150/2400 in 10th grade and now showing big improvement. Know what tricks and strategies they want you to apply on the logical reasoning test, and you will probably be able to pull from a 1400 to a 2100. It requires much work.</p>

<p>I know someone who scored lower. “They” received a 1300 the first time and the second time they had a 1950. Pretty big jump. Collegeboard wouldn’t release their score for a long time because they thought that person was cheating. Everyone else in school thought he was cheating too, because he get C’s and B’s usually. Plus, that’s with the help of copying homework from someone everyday and every class. Guess the SATS don’t really prove you’re smart?</p>

<p>Well it appears that most people I know that are behind me in class rank still do a lot better on the SAT. Anyone close to me or better than me in class rank does way better on the SAT than me. Does this mean I just try a lot harder than them on assignments or I am just not smart?</p>

<p>Probably both… Maybe you had a bad day. If it’s a shock maybe you mis bubbled. </p>
<p>Other than studying, which can only help your score some, there’s nothing much you can do about it. Do study, see it go up some, and deal with whatever you can get.</p>

<p>You have to be totally stupid to score a 1,460 on the SAT, even if it is your first time and you did not prep AT ALL. The test contains extremely basic material and scoring below a 1700 in high school is pathetic. And if you actually put in a decent amount of time prepping, then that is just sad.</p>

<p>SadHippo, I told you to buy the Official SAT Collegeboard Blue Book from the Barnes Noble and then do the 10 practice inside it. That is the best way to increase your scores.
Whichever questions you get wrong or omit from the practice tests, it is recommended that you REVIEW YOUR ERRORS. SAT is the logical reasoning test that tests you how to apply logic and knowledge for each problems. The English section wants you to be able to draw conclusions from the passages. </p>
<p>If you need help with building your vocabulary words for the sentence completion, we recommend you getting the Direct Hits 2010 Edition: Get both Volume 1 and 2 and you should be fine. I ordered mine at Barnes Noble, but you could also order them online somewhere.</p>

<p>Saugus, I realize that you have no problem with calling half the teen population totally stupid/sad, but your post has absolutely no substance and I don’t see anyone vehemently calling you an idiot for getting an F in Algebra II Even those who are acing Multivariable Calc and beyond.</p>
