Has anyone lived in Koreatown and bussed it to UCLA?

I currently live near Wilshire and Vermont and found out that there is a Metro Express Bus that goes down Wilshire Blvd to Westwood Village in 30 minutes. Is this do-able??? I would be saving nearly $300 per month just doing this and not living near campus. That's $7,200 savings over two years that I wouldn't have to borrow.

I havent taken the bus to UCLA yet, but I used to take the metro rapid from my house to my CC in Pasadena and its pretty do able. I’d say for that kind of saving(and gas too) doo it!

You’re talking about the 720/920 Rapid red bus right? Yeah it does take about 30 minutes from Ktown to Westwood/Wilshire taking that bus. Add in 10-15 minutes to take a Big Blue Bus up to the campus.

It’s doable if you want to save money.

I used to live off wilshire/western. the 720 takes a while, but the 920 is the express bus. If i transfer to UCLA (I’m down in San Diego now), that’s what I’d do!

Yeah, taking the rapid from wilshire/vermont to UCLA will take a good twenty minutes or so. But it’s gonna be a btch.

That’s really going to be hell. ): Good luckkk.

By b*tch, they mean you’ll most likely by standing for at least 3/4ths of the duration of the bus trip and possibly heckled by creepy bus-goers.

But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I take the 720 to school every Tues/Thurs. sigh
