I haven't, and frankly I'm getting worried. Applied for honors housing, pretty late. Anyone else in the same boat and what housing did you apply for?

m 2...I have applied for housing and they havent told me where I was assigned.

samwise, do you mean you haven't gotten ANY information? Because if so, that's bad--something must have gotten lost, and contact them immediately!

if you mean that you have applied but haven't heard back about your final housing assignment yet, then I wouldn't worry. I believe they've only assigned about 2/3 of the freshmen so far.

My application was avaliable May 9th, completed may10th...still havent heard yet but its only been a few weeks

I think im gonan get stuck on north campus :O

My friends are in the same boat as you. On the my housing site for me it says that my contract issue date was June 7th! I can't wait for tomorrow's mail!

I got mine in the mail today (contract and bed sheet ordering info.) I'm assigned to a non-smoking honors housing in south quad, economy triple. I have no idea how I didn't get the standard economy double, but I guess 3 people to a room is okay. I also requested substance-free housing, but I guess they're all filled up.

Just make sure that when you get your contract, sign it and return it within 10 days. If you're not satisfied with your room, you might not be able to get another one until fall.

Yeah, this is what I mean. Since you seem to know about the inner working at Michigan (are you an admin at Umich?) could you tell me whether or not everyone who requested honors housing this year got it?

Thanks

Economy triple is 3 ppl in a 2 person room so might be crowded. At least you don't have to pay as much.

I have the same fear, lol

Other than crowdedness, is there any disadvantage to having 3 people in a room as opposed to 2? I think I might actually like that.

I'm something like that.

But I don't know about honor housing, sorry.

As for triples, where I went to undergrad (not Michigan) they offered triples to upperclassmen who wanted them. They work fine, although sometimes it created a convenient tendency for two to gang up on one. Mostly harmonious, though.

I have a "quad apartment". To me it sounds like fun, but does anyone hear have experience with one of these set-ups? What exactly is in the quad apt other than 4 beds?

I haven't gotten my housing stuff yet...hmm......i'm beginning to wonder!

I got into the hill! Alice Llyod HSSP holler

Wow, sounds like you may get a private bath! lucky

Yeah i'm hoping it's something really sweet like that. Anybody know for sure?

chibearsfan:

you are in south quad right?

what i recall a friend telling me is that because of student overload....they took some random lounges on each floor and converted them into large rooms for 4....

i've visited south quad and i've seen these "quad apts," only from the outside however

the room i hear is massive and can fit way more than 4 people so i guess you will be getting lots of personal space but i don't think there's a private bathroom

That still sounds pretty sweet. 4 guys get a whole lounge?? Definitely pimpable. thanks for the info, death.

Hey chibearsfan, can you go to the housing website and look at your housing summary, and see if "honors" is listed under MLC choice number 1 or somewhere else? I remember applying for honors housing but it isn't listed anywhere in the summary, so... hopefully it's supposed to be like that.

I got housing in Bursley, anyone else going to be there? It's a double

Are there any engineering students housed at Mary Markley?
