I got mine, too! YAY for all of us!
My daughter is NMSF, and applied in November, and we still haven’t heard a result. SATs 800/800/720 so we didn’t really think there was much to worry about, but the online portal still says “Under Review.”
@purplewonder Have you considered calling Barrett? My son missed the November priority deadline for Barrett and applied in December. His application was turned around very quickly.and he was admitted right before Christmas. He also is NMSF, with good SATs. We’re OOS. I thought I read somewhere that NMSF status would result in a quick turn around, which is what I assumed happened for him. It might merit a phone call.
@purplewonder I agree with anniechris to call. Over the last couple of years, NMSF, including my daughter, have gotten very quick turn-around.
Thanks anniechris and STEMfamily. She wrote to her ASU admissions counselor, who said she should hear by the end of next week. She didn’t mention in her email that she is NMSF, but did list her SATs (800/800/720). She’s semi-international (US citizen but living abroad), but I would have thought that would be an asset or neutral. It’s unfortunate that it’s taken so long, as we’d though to visit next weekend during what is a four day weekend for her - nice time of year to escape the snow for a weekend! Ah well.
I was accepted to Barrett last week!
ASU acceptance Wednesday and Barrett today.
My son sent his Barrett application in on the last possible day, Feb 15 (Sunday), received his admission email on Tuesday afternoon. That was crazy fast. He’s a Business major, not a NMF/NMSF. We are CA residents, he had ACT of 28, very strong GPA/Class rank 2 of 450, plus strong extras. He wrote his Barrett essay last minute. I told him that he should get in, wrote a fairly hurried essay and I’m still amazed how damn quick he received his acceptance, maybe it’s because of non-resident status
I received notification of my acceptance early last week, within 4 days of applying. I’ll be studying Computer Science at ASU.
Quick stats: 3.8 GPA, 2260 SAT, 232 PSAT (National Merit Finalist), very strong EC’s.
