Has anyone scheduled Tisch artistic review?

I just want to be sure I am not missing something. The NYU system is telling me the artistic review scheduler will be available the week of October 21, but seems to not be up yet. Has anyone scheduled their audition at Tisch yet?

Just checked again and still nothing. Website actually says available 10/21. I sent an email to ask. Will post if I get an answer.

Wow Tisch just wrote back and said they expect to go live later this afternoon!

It’s still not working…

The artistic review scheduler is open. I was just able to schedule the audition but the payment page doesn’t seem to be working properly. Anyone else?

The payment page is still not functioning quite right. It sets you up to pay for both a music theatre and acting audition, for a total of $105, instead of the $50 for just acting. Tisch said to go ahead and pay for both and we will be refunded. They are working on fixing the problem but in order to confirm your time slot you should pay, and then e-mail them to say you were charged twice.
I reluctantly just did this, after checking the page every day this week to see if it was fixed. Doesn’t seem like we should have to pay twice for their technology problems!

I don’t know anything about the payment page, but I just feel I need to jump on here so you will stop the obsessive talking to yourself! The application process can do that to you!

Hang in there!!!

Haha! No one else is saying anything but others are reading it. Since I started the update I figured I should add what I learned.
But I also do talk too much.

dramamom, is there any way you can tell me if the ny dates are filling up fast? I’ve been held up with my applications because of my teachers not sending in the letters of recommendation and I’m really afraid I won’t be able to schedule one.

NO, dramamom - you don’t talk too much! I was just kidding you! Truthfully, I always like your posts.

Thanks marble header
Sjane- I reserved one for my D on the first day it opened. Most of the dates at that time said they had 23 or 24 spots open. I don’t know how many they take for each spot. Best thing would be to wait and see if anyone else who just scheduled can report back what number it says.

I know many schools are having delays because of the common app so you are definitely not alone. Also I don’t think a teacher recommendation should hold it up. My D’s status on the NYU thing showed her transcript, guidance form I think and SAT scores. It didn’t have a place to check off teacher recs. Did you get an email from NYU yet with log-in info? That’s what you need to register and schedule. My D’s teacher just got the rec uploaded last week and we got the log-in email before that.

I was able to register for a dance audition at Tisch before my rec letters were received. My recommenders couldn’t get through the common app due to the glitches and I had to send them through the regular mail. I’m not sure if it is the same with the theatre auditions but I thought I would at least let you know.

No I haven’t sent in the app at all. my school uses naviance and to my knowledge if the teachers don’t submit the recs to common app through naviance before I send in the app, I would have to resort to the regular mail thing which I did not want. I don’t even know if I can send my app to my schools which require at least two recs (I only have one done). in any case, im trying to go on common app right now and its very slow/not working, im assuming bc today is one of the deadline dates and its probably crashing, nothing to do but wait now  thanks though

oops wrong thread
